This motor breakdown insurance policy provides you with roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services in the United Kingdom and Ireland, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for cars, light vans and motorised or towed caravans.

This policy is underwritten by Europ Assistance, who have been helping drivers reach their destinations for over 30 years.

Nearly two million cars in the UK and Ireland rely on the roadside services of Europ Assistance, who handle a motor breakdown every three minutes.

If you breakdown in the UK, our recovery operator will attend the scene speedily. If your vehicle is immobilised, we will arrange and pay for the callout charge and up to one hour's labour for assistance at your home or at the roadside, and if necessary transportation of you and your vehicle to the nearest repairer.

We will relay up to two telephone messages to your family members, friends or business associates to advise of unforeseen travel delays.

If your vehicle cannot be repaired the same working day, you will be offered one of the following options:

  • transportation of you and your vehicle to your home, or
  • transportation of you and your vehicle to your original destination, or
  • transportation of you and your vehicle to your chosen repairer, or
  • up to £100 for a hire car for 24 hours, or
  • up to £100 for public transport, or
  • up to £100 for overnight bed and breakfast accomodation.

You also have telephone access to our 24-hour emergency centre in connection with emergency medical transfers and general roadside assistance.
