Standard Vehicle Replacement Cover

Q: Isn't the cover included with my motor insurance policy?
A: Not usually; some policies provide a guaranteed courtesy car but few provide cover for a vehicle if stolen or written off; if you do have cover built in this will only in normal circumstances be for a standard car and not an executive car replacement.

Q: When can I make a claim?
A: You can make a claim as soon as you become aware that your vehicle has been stolen or as soon as your insurer advises you your car has been written off.

Q Who is eligible for cover?
A: You must have a full UK driving licence and your car must have a valid certificate of insurance. Furthermore, to purchase the Prestige policy you must be over 25 and you vehicle must be under 6 years old and or have a market value in excess of £20,000.

Q: What sort of replacement vehicle will I receive if I make a claim?
A: You will receive a Vauxhall Corsa (1.0L) or suitable near equivalent Group A vehicle for the Standard Cover or a Mercedes C Class (1.8L) or suitable near equivalent Prestige vehicle for the Prestige Cover.

Q: When will I receive the vehicle?
A: To make a claim simply call the claims helpline and if your vehicle has been stolen or written off we will deliver your replacement vehicle to your home. The delivery agent will explain the controls and features of the replacement vehicle to you. On completion of hire, the vehicle will be collected.

Q: How long will it take for the car to be delivered?
A: The average time is 6 hours from your call but we guarantee delivery within 24 hours anywhere in the UK.

Q: Is my cover transferable if I change vehicle?
A: Yes, Just let us know your new registration number immediately and we'll transfer the cover. You are however only covered for the new vehicle if you have notified us of the change prior to a claim. Temporary changes of vehicles are excluded from this policy.

Q: What if I move address?
A: Assistance at your home is only covered at the address registered at inception. If you change address please notify us immediately.
